In the Intego database, anonymous routine data collected by general practitioners during patient visits is stored. Within Intego, a tool was designed for calculating incidence and prevalence rates.
For calculating incidences within Intego, the following are used:
- Annual Contact Group (ACG): the number of patients in a general practice in one year.
- Practice Population (PP): the estimated number of patients in a general practice based on the annual contact group.
Since the number of patients in our database can change annually, and thus also the ACG and PP, future calculations may yield different values. If in doubt or if you have questions about the results, please always contact Intego.
